Focus on Training
This month we look at our new course - Food Hygiene and Nutrition
According to the NHS during 2010, there were almost 84,560 cases of food poisoning in England and Wales. However, the actual figure may be considerably higher than this because many people with mild symptoms do not report them.
The main reasons for food poisoning are ignorance, poor food management and bad hygiene practice. By developing food hygiene measures and increasing our knowledge of proper food handling the risk of food poisoning can be greatly reduced. Additionally by ensuring that a good nutritional balance is incorporated into diet, we can help prevent many food related problems.
