Akamas’ new NVQ centre already setting new standards Akamas is proud to announce that we are now a fully accredited Edexcel NVQ Centre.  This news gives the green light for a groundbreaking route for foster carers to achieving a Level 3 NVQ: Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), which completes a comprehensive professional development pathway for foster carers. The NVQ incorporates core content from Akamas' Level 3 BTEC presented in a modular format, so delivering knowledge which is already proven to significantly develop understanding, practice and outcomes in foster care.  This material is closely mapped to CWDC standards. Alongside this, candidates will complete workbooks which enable them to build up a portfolio which reflects the range of their work as well as providing the required evidence for the Level 3 NVQ.
